BURG Translations’ ISO Certifications
Reliable quality management systems ensure that the products and services delivered are of the highest quality. As the most recognized quality standard in over 162 countries, ISO 9001:2015 certification is the gold standard framework for certifying quality management procedures.
BURG Translations ISO 9001:2015 certification confirms our strong Quality Management System (QMS). Through the demonstration of our effective planning, quality monitoring, process controls and commitment to ongoing improvements, we have achieved third-party certification.
There are eight quality management principles that require strict adherence for ISO 9001:2015 certification:
- Customer Focus
- Involvement of People
- Process Approach
- System Approach to Management
- Continual Improvement
- Factual Approach to Decision Making
- Mutually Beneficial Supplier Relationship
ISO 17100:2015 builds on the generic requirements of ISO 9001:2015. It focuses on processes that are specific to translation service providers (TSPs). For example, it defines personnel such as translators, revisers, reviewers, proofreaders and project managers, as well as technical resources. The translation steps it covers include translation, as well as document translation checks, revisions made by a second translator, reviews to determine that the deliverable meets the intent, proofreading and final verification.
